Chameleon gradient nailart| superchic lacquer G-Force Burnish basecoat review!

Hey lovelies. Welcome back to my blog. So it was recently my birthday and I got some new goodies from Rainbow connection uk if your interested in what I picked up I have a full haul up on my YouTube channel now. One of the things on my list was the superchic lacquer G-Force Burnish basecoat. Now I've had my eye on this for a while and it was patiently waiting in my basket. This basecoat is a burnish and bond basecoat with a gummy formula. As it dries it becomes tacky and it's this tacky layer that's perfect for all the pretty chrome, mirror, holo and chameleon powders the nail world is going crazy for. Best part? No gel polish is required. Which means the possibilities are endless and every polish in your collection can be utilised. So now let's see how this baby performs.

For this look I used 3 of the metal manix chameleon powders from Indigo nails in alien, butterfly and blue devil. As with all methods of powder I used an eyeshadow applicator to rub it into the nail. I started with a coat of unt peel off basecoat then applied 2 coats of picture polish black. Once that was completely dry I added a layer of the superchic lacquer basecoat. I found a smooth application of this basecoat was needed too thick or too thin leaves a bumpy texture on the nail and this causes the powder to appear bumpy also. The key is to let the basecoat dry for around 1 minute. You don't want it to be wet or dry because then it won't burnish the powder correctly.  I applied the 3 powders in various areas of the nail making every finger different.
Then to complete the look I added another coat of unt peel off basecoat over the powders. This acts as a barrier between the chameleons and the topcoat as normal topcoat will full the multichrome effect. Once that dried i them added a layer of seche vive for a gel like finish.

While I found if you let the basecoat dry too long it doesn't give an opaque finish. It's finding the balance between wet, just right and too dry. I wholeheartedly think this product is amazing. It does require some practice but the results speak for themselves. It does work. I love that I don't have to fuss with gels on a day when I just want a quick mani. I'd rate this product an easy 8-10. One I'd highly recommend.

So that's all for this post. I really hope you enjoyed. Thanks so much for stopping by.
See you next time.

Love khylie xx
